Albert Nürnberger Violin Bow, Markneukirchen circa 1930

This is an unusually fine gold and tortoiseshell bow from the Nürnberger shop, probably a late work of Franz Albert Nürnberger. The stamp dates it as post-1920, but the small Parisian eyes aren’t a feature of Carl Albert’s work.

Mounts: gold/tortoiseshell

Dimensions: length 74.5cm, weight 58.7 grams
