Pierre Cuniot Violin Bow, Mirecourt circa 1880

This is an unusual fine French Pierre Cuniot violin bow – the stick is round-section amourette wood showing quite a heavy Simon influence, mounts are nickel and ebony in the Vuillaume style. Bows by Cuniot are quite rare, probably because he died in his early 40s.

Length 74.4cm, weight 60 grams
