A German Violin Bow
This is an excellent silver mounted German bow with the playing qualities of a fine Nürnberger.

The stick is of octagonal section orange-brown pernambuco with a strong flame – mounts are silver and ebony. The quality of work is very high – the pearl slide is slightly tapered, the heel plate is pinned, the head is accurately worked with broad chamfers. The condition is excellent with no issues – minimal wear too.

A great all rounder of a bow – particularly good off the string, strong and well balanced, and with a broad yet bright sound. An exceptional bow for the price …

Mounts: silver/ebony

Dimensions: length 74.7cm, weight 60.5 grams
