We had a few days in Italy recently and spent a morning at the Villa Adriana – Hadrian’s Villa. Here is Martin conducting business among the ruins. Fittingly, this was one of the formal reception areas which were built for this very purpose.
It is a vast site and the experience was rather overwhelming – we had no idea of the scale of things and really should have done some research first. I’ve since found this amazing video which shows the buildings as they are now, alongside digital reconstructions.
