If you would like to contribute to the cost of restoring the violin which stars in Helena Attlee’s book ‘Lev’s Violin’ click on this crowdfunder page. The violin is owned and played by our friend Greg Lawson and Martin has volunteered to oversee the restoration work to make sure it’s done in the most appropriate way for this anonymous but fabulous-sounding violin. Contribution ‘rewards’ include a signed copy of the book, a copy of an album celebrating the restoration of the violin or even – for £1,000 – a private concert with Greg Lawson and Lev’s violin encompassing everything from Bach to tango, and klezmer to solo sonatas.
Update: the crowdfunder campaign reached its target and Lev’s violin is being restored – we will keep you posted!
