Every violin shop has to have a Lowendall – like JTL or Collin-Mézin, the name has long been associated with reliability and value for money. This nice Guarneri model Lowendall is in excellent condition and has a big warm and friendly tone.
Note : Although Louis Löwenthal started out life as a violin-maker, and for a time had a “works” or small factory in Dresden, it’s clear that the majority of his instrument were bought in from the Markneukirchen trade. However, quality control was always good, and the Lowendall Dresden stamp should be understood more as a seal of approval than proof of provenance.
