This is a fine South German violin from the early-mid 19th century, showing all the typical signs of Mittenwald construction. It’s an interesting example, obviously made by someone with a real interest in sound, and with a degree of artistry.
Length of back 35.5cm, stop 131/190mm, total length 58.7cm
